5-Minute Bathroom Makeover

Creating a Child-Friendly Brushing Space
If you’ve ever watched a child try to brush in a space that isn’t designed for them, you know exactly how tough it can be: stretching up high, fumbling for toothpaste, climbing on tiptoe. A few tiny tweaks can transform your bathroom into a child-friendly brushing zone in just five minutes.
Here’s how:
1. Lower Everything to Their Level
Place a small step stool where your child can easily reach it.
Even better, keep it permanently by the sink so brushing always feels accessible.
2. Create a Brushing Caddy
Use a small basket to store:
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Floss for older children
A dedicated “brushing station” reduces clutter and makes the routine feel fun and organised.
3. Create a Tiny Reward Drawer or Pot
Not sweets but stickers, badges, mini notes, or tokens.
Each successful morning/night brushing earns one item.
It keeps motivation high without creating pressure.
Child-Friendly Doesn’t Have to Mean Complicated
Most families don’t have time for a full bathroom redesign and that’s okay.
These small shifts promote independence, reduce stress, and make brushing time something kids look forward to every day.
