Get them comfortable with their toothbrush
Encourage your child to see their toothbrush as a friend and let them explore and play with it even outside brushing time.

Simple trick to help your child open wide for brushing
Encourage your little one to roar like a bear and show off their big, bright teeth!

Measure out the toothpaste together
Let your child squeeze out the toothpaste for a sense of fun and independence—just be sure to use the correct amount! See our guide below.

0-12 MONTHS
A barely visible amount of toothpaste.
1-3 YEARS
A smear of toothpaste, the size of a grain of rice.
3+ YEARS
A pea-sized amount of toothpaste.
Which Toothpaste?
0-3 YEARS
Fluoride level 1000ppm
(Unless a higher level is recommended by your dentist)
3-6 YEARS
Fluoride level 1350–1500ppm
